Production/ Rental Manager - Sound Engineer

Summary * Assist in specifying equipment and labor for proposals * Determine appropriate equipment substitutions when applicable * Create wiring diagrams and audio plans for shows based on approved design * Work with Inventory Control on packaging, pulling and returning audio equipment * Understanding of power distribution systems and ground loop isolation * Excellent understanding of gain structure for both live and recorded events * Thorough knowledge of wireless microphone systems, IFB, in ear monitors and clear com systems * Follow Company guidelines relating to show site operations and safety * Coordinate with AV operations, venue personnel, and crew to pull the show, load trucks, supervise labor on site, operate equipment, unload trucks, repair and maintain equipment and put equipment away * Develop and foster a positive, team-oriented atmosphere * Experience with large scale professional sound systems, including setup and operation, mixing of live entertainment including musical acts, corporate/industrial shows with playback and recording equipment * Experience with rack wiring and portable sound system assembly * Experience in chain motor operation and rigging large sound systems * Demonstrated computer literacy including proficiency in/aptitude for VectorWorks (CAD Program), Microsoft Word, and Excel, EAW Smaart v6, other sound processing software * Ability to take direction and follow cues in a live show environment * Ability to efficiently and effectively lead and supervise casual labor essential * Ability to read scripts and execute cues in a live show environment * Demonstrated ability to effectively manage time and resources * Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects at the same time * Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills essential Specialties: * Monitor Engineering * FOH Engineering * Fine tunning the sound system with or without use of Smaart v6 * Operating Midas, Yamaha, Soundcraft, Crest, Allen & Heath, Mackie analog sound boards * Operating Yamaha LS9, M7CL, PM1D, PM5D, Soundcraft Vi6, Allen & Heath iLive, Digidesign Venue & D*Show digital audio boards
