EXPERIENCE
o January – Present, Dollarhide Film, Inc. Dollarhide Film is an independent filmmaker located in Mississippi. Jim Dollarhide’s resume and body of work can be seen on his website, Dollarhide.net. Some of our ongoing video works are with the BB King Museum, Habitat for Humanity, Int. and Blue Cross Blue Shield. I am the office manager and production coordinator.
• General office duties include: clerical computer work, ordering supplies for the office, business and camera department, scheduling and preparing for shoot or edit days. Preparation for shoot days includes: hire crews, scout and arrange travel to locations and hotels, verify and assemble lighting and camera packages. Preparation for edit days includes: loading the video footage into our editing system, Avid Adrenaline with an HD upgrade.
• The Habitat for Humanity World Tour took us around the world, shooting real people building Habitat houses in Ecuador, Dominican Republic, Kyrgyzstan, Tanzania, India and the Philippines. I managed passports, visas and interfacing with the local representatives for our person crew as we worked our way around the world in weeks. We carried an ARRI Super film camera package and had many issues as we traveled because many countries are not friendly to camera crews.
• BB King’s Farewell European Tour. I planned our flights, hotels and car rental for this one week trip through the Netherlands, Belgium, France and Luxembourg. We carried a Panasonic HVX HD camcorder, recording digital video onto P memory cards. On this trip, I was the data manager. Prior to the trip, we developed a process for organizing and downloading the digital video data to an external hard drive through a laptop. This allowed us to reuse the P cards during the performances. On most nights we would shoot to cards worth of data.
• B.B. King Live HD DVD recording sessions in Memphis and Nashville was a huge operation for us to achieve in weeks time. I was the production coordinator for the nights of recording at BB King’s clubs in Nashville and Memphis. We had crew members with cameras, a $, lighting package, an audio recording truck and a video recording truck with full compliments of engineers and operators.
o June – December , Office coordinator, DC Inspection Services. DC Inspection Services provides certified inspectors to the oil and chemical industry.
• Filed and tracked inspection reports for active jobs.
• Processed payrolls and billed clients for the inspector’s time.
o March – June , Technical Writer, AIM-USA. AIM is a manufacturer of avionics test and simulation modules. The product line includes MIL-STD-, ARINC, ARINC/AFDX, Fibre Channel and modules for all backplane interface formats. My responsibilities included:
• Generating and formatting Manuals, Release Notes and other documentation for publication in print, on the web or as part of a Board Support Package Installation.
• Verification of installation and programming procedures
• Software applications used in the development of these documents and images are, Microsoft Office, Help and Manual, Impict, Visual Studio.NET and Adobe Products.
• Win CVS, pcAnywhere and FileZilla are file transfer applications used as document process control.
o November – March , Various part time and seasonal jobs. I tended family members in need, worked for Crown Trophy in Seabrook and James Avery Craftsman in Pasadena.

o May – November , X- Ironbird Crew Chief, Lockheed Martin. The X- Ironbird was an avionics integration testbed for the X-, CRV (Crew Return Vehicle). Before program cancellation, this space flight vehicle was to be docked at the International Space Station as an emergency escape vehicle. The Ironbird Testbed provided the X- program engineers with a stand alone or system integration environment to test, verify and troubleshoot hardware and software designs. A Crew Chief is completely responsible for every aspect of the Ironbird, with attention to safety being of utmost importance.
• Provide engineering support for the integration of all avionics hardware and software into the X- Program’s avionics test facility, the X- Ironbird.
• Work with all the team members to understand and implement testing requirements for hardware and software.
• Prioritize, schedule and track tasks required for the buildup and testing of the X- Ironbird test facility.
• Oversee configuration management of the X- Ironbird databases and drawings.
• Review and approve Work Authorization Documents and Test Procedures.
• Participate in Test Readiness Reviews.
• Document, track and resolve Discrepancy Reports and anomalies.
• Provide overall test facility buildup and integration guidance to technicians.
o , Image Processing Unit (IPU) Lead Technician, Lockheed Martin. The IPU is a video recording unit which will be housed in the Japanese Module of the International Space Station to record scientific experiments. modified Panasonic DVC Pro video recorders, LCD monitor, a custom CPU cardcage to control the digital processing, recording and Abbott DC power supplies in a ” half rack. We delivered the flight IPU on time and within the budget to the Japanese.
As the Lead Engineering Tech, I managed the lab and was responsible for the following tasks:
• Ensure all Safety requirements were top priority.
• Coordinate, schedule and track tasks required for assembly of the Engineering Unit, Flight Unit and the Ground Support Equipment (GSE) rack.
• Provide required drawings, documents and instruction for the fabrication and troubleshooting of the Engineering and Flight models of the IPU.
• Control and maintain databases for all calibrated equipment, flight, non flight and GSE parts.
o , SSCS (Space to Space Communication System) UHF Radios, Senior R.F. (Radio Frequency) technician, Lockheed. When DOD took over the frequency band for the older UHF radios, NASA took this opportunity to upgrade the onboard radios with newer technology. My responsibilities as the Lead Senior Technician were:
• Fabrication and troubleshooting from the component level to complete assembly of the engineering models for the EMU (Extravehicular Maneuvering Unit), Orbiter (Shuttle), and Space Station UHF-Band radios.
• Operation and maintenance of all the lab test equipment and facilities.
• Procurement and maintenance the lab parts stock.
• Maintained NASA NHB and Safety certifications and set up ISO compliant lab procedures.
