I am currently the recruiter for the Temple Police Department. My main job focus is to hire potential candidates of already certified officers for our agency. My job is to conduct background investigations on each applicant and conduct the hiring practices under the Civil Service Regulations. I have had several years of patrol experience, narcotic investigations, gang investigations, internal affairs investigations, a certified field training instructor, a police and academy instructor, a defensive tactics instructor and a former SWAT team operator. Over the past nine years I have trained new recruit officers through our Temple Police Academy and instructed several hours with topics of training for officers and civilian employees in and outside our agency. I have a DEA Narcotics certification and have been CLAN Lab certified through Quantico, Virginia. I am a certified Cooper Law Enforcement Physical Fitness Specialist, which was obtained through the Cooper Institute in Dallas, Texas. I hold a Master Peace Officer, have attended two TMPA SWAT schools, and have many hours of training through the state certification department, TCOLE (Texas Commission on Law Enforcement).
