National Guard Deployment / Africa to Present • Conducting anti-terrorism missions throughout the Horn of Africa • Performing tasks to include but not limited to supply and RTO (radio and telephone operator) • Work closely with different branches of the U.S. military and local armed forces to help secure the Infrastructure in the region. • Operate the ECP (entry control points) on base and ports. Inspect people and vehicles for any sort of explosives and weapons hidden in the vehicle or hidden on a person's body. • Conduct convoy security missions to insure the safety and security of all personnel and equipment. Provide minor first aid treatment where necessary. • Supervise the morning routines of the children in a supportive, professional manner. • Fully perform restraints (as necessary) when ordered by a licensed professional using the current approved Sandy Pines restraint methodology on youth clients who may weigh in excess of pounds and who are physically threatening or otherwise presenting a threat to themselves or others. • Participate in the planning and implementation of individualized treatment plans as well as daily treatment schedules in accordance with House/Module programming. • Communicate all relevant client information obtained by daily Supervision to appropriate treatment team members on a timely basis. • Follow all Sandy Pines policies regarding medication administration. Distribute all prescribed medication to children and complete all necessary documentation. • Complete hours of training per calendar year in accordance with all corporate and regulatory requirements. • Understand and make certain you are in compliance with all regulatory bodies and KidsPeace policies regarding documentation of services. • Understand and comply with all laws, regulations, and ethical practices. • Understand the duty to report a belief of a violation of laws, regulations, standards and ethical practices. Missions included transportation of ammunition, equipment, and rations. • Conducted a high velocity of military vehicle convoy missions within the combat zone, in preparation for the Iraq drawdown. • Tailored on-the-ground tactical plans to a wide variety of terrorist threats and was a constant deterrent to the public eye. • Successfully completed over high threat military convoy operations in the duration of the deployment. Main duties were to provide support with the crew-serve weapon, Caliber machine gun mounted on a tactical military vehicle. My Area of Responsibility (AOR) was rear support for the convoy, also to help maintain convoy structure and integrity. • Constantly performed battle drills to ensure proficiency / consistency during convoy operations, battle drills to include but not limited to: react to contact, rules of engagement (ROE) procedures, medical evacuation / advanced first aid steps, react to an Improvised-Explosive-Device (IED), react to Vehicle-Borne-Improvised-Explosive- Device (VBIED), react to sniper / small arms fire, react to suspicious activity within Area of Responsibility (AOR), react to ambush during convoy, react to media, and react to Indirect Fire (IDF), base defense techniques, react to Nuclear Biological and Chemical (NBC) warfare, proper communication procedures, land navigation skills, and vehicle search techniques. • Equipment used but not limited to: Night Vision Goggles (NVG), M • carbine rifle, M Beretta sidearm, binoculars, flares, . Currently hold a Modern Army Combative Program (MACP) Level II certificate, completed hours of training to earn certification from course. • United States Army Combat Life Saver / Advanced First Aid • Anti- Terrorism Level Awareness Training PRIVATE CONTRACT SECURITY Force Protection Officer (Armed) – Triple Canopy Security Services, Reston, Virginia (May - July ) • Performed full range of Force Protection Officer Duties necessary to maintain the security and safety of multiple United States Army installations in the State of Kuwait. • Conducted a variety of hands-on vehicle searches at multiple Entry Control Points (ECP), • supervised and trained Third Country Nationals (TCN) and Triple Canopy new hires with On the Job Training (OJT) techniques. • Enforced post policies and law enforcement procedures while on duty. Provided on the ground rover relief to officers at various posts. Enforced the % post installation access Identification badge check at all times.
