WORK EXPERIENCE Schlumberger – Field Engineer Cementing Services April – Present § Assigned to deepwater drilling rig in GOM as the night cement supervisor, tasked with executing all aspects of the cementing program. Experienced in cementing operations including calculations, building spacers, pumping cement, mixing chemicals, casing tests, formation integrity tests, negative tests, and BOP tests. Complete maintenance on positive displacement pumps, centrifugal pumps, and repairing / replacing low and high-pressure valves. Accountable for cement and chemical material management, parts inventory, and mentoring new employees. § Office rotations include designing cement jobs, creating lab requests, writing cement programs, performing lab tests, and supervising cement blends at the bulk plant. § Hold chair positions on Schlumberger’s North American Gulf Coast Cementing Division’s Loss Prevention Team and Quality Steering Committee to analyze potential safety concerns and trend part failures. |
PROJECT EXPERIENCE Major Qualifying Project (MQP), Worcester, MA August-February § Developed a D model of WPI’s new Recreational Center by using a variety of software including Building Information Modeling (BIM), Primavera, Revit, and Navisworks. § Responsibilities were to lead a team of four in tracking projected versus actual work-to-date of materials and cost to create an Earned Value Analysis. Junior Interactive Qualifying Project (IQP), Broadmeadows, Australia January-March § Collaborated with the Building Demonstration Program at the Broadmeadows community center to promote sustainable construction and affordable building practices. § Gathered relevant information for educational displays and researched sustainable building practices through building tours and interviews. § Created interactive displays to inform visitors of the Broadmeadows Community Center about sustainable features located in the Center. Developed a building tour and corresponding children’s game, six informational posters analyzing different aspects of sustainability, six promotional posters, and constructed a -foot recycling center with slots to separate trash, recycling, and compost. |
