Prepared responses of proposed disciplinary and adverse action using “The Seven Test for Just Cause” and “Douglas Factors” or other relevant standards associated with administering discipline to hearing officer for review and recommendation.
- Negotiated first time and existing CBAs terms and conditions as lead negotiator for the maximum benefit of member at various organizations/agencies (American Red Cross, Department of Behavioral Health, and Office Chief Medical Examiners).
- Coordinated and led negotiating teams representing over , members under the jurisdiction of DC NUHHCE. Responsible for impact and effects bargaining when changes affected the terms of employment.
- Co-chaired labor management meetings. Served as expert on forums/panels sponsored by American Arbitration Association and Cornell University; subject matter included bargaining in today’s economy and strategic grievance handling.
- Lobbied city officials and delivered testimony on issues ranging from budget to oversight of DC Government Agencies. Promoted the organization’s agenda with affiliates, building political support and encouraging creation of strong and effective organizing capacity at the local level.
