Program Coordinator, August to Present

- Serves as the Medical Student and Resident and Fellow Coordinator for the Department of Psychiatry.

- Performs clerical/administrative support duties for program directors, faculty, fellows, and residents.

- Coordinates Spring & Fall Basic Psychiatry small groups and Group Leader Meetings

- Assists with group leader (psychiatric professionals) recruitment.

- Reviews recurrent student and group leader evaluations and identifies potential problem areas and, if present, alert the Director or Associate Directors.

- Collects, organizes and updates materials for inclusion in the spring and fall Basic Psychiatry Sequence syllabus.

- Collaborates with the Curriculum Coordinator weekly and ensures course information, assignment, handouts/presentations and interview note forms are posted on the Blackboard learning website.

- Reserves classrooms through the Curriculum Coordinator for each of the interview days.

- Recruits patient interviewees for all conducted interviews for various chronic illnesses. Screens patients for appropriateness, collects contact information, sends information/reminders, provides parking and/or bus passes.

- Assigns patients to each of the groups, during small group meetings.

- Processes forms for gift card approval for the interviewees; purchases cards weekly, lists cards numerically, obtains receipt signed by interviewees, tracks all cards/receipts in preparation for  accounting audits.

- Reserves white boards and additional equipment for clinical interviews.

- Serves as liaison between the Evaluation Specialist and students; ensures proper group leaders are assigned for student evaluation; and vice versa.

- Coordinates the annual Felix Award for excellent sophomore student(s).

- Organizes and coordinates first and second year student electives in the spring and fall. Includes working with each of the five directors (and/or assistants) for the various electives; providing rosters, student pictures, organizing meetings (reserving rooms), ordering food, gathering schedules, etc.

- Assists with procurement, Travel, Accounts Payable, and other high priority emergencies.

Coordinates milestones and Child Residency entrance.

- Assists with CHCO recruitment (helping day of, coordinate with faculty and residents to arrange interviews).

- Coordinates didactics, CHCO on-boarding and orientation.

- Coordinates and tracks semiannual CSV evaluations; aids in documenting disciplinary action.

- Works within MedHub and New Innovations on features such as establishing and tracking evaluations, scheduling and tracking conferences, faculty, fellow and resident attendance, duty hours, leave requests and various other program requirements.

- Coordinates PEC meetings.

- Coordinates and document annual meeting.

- Coordination with CHCO training activities, lectures etc.

- Coordinates faculty required activities and trainings.

- Maintains on call and moonlighting calendar/policies.

- Program assistance as needed for the Child Director & Deb Carter.

May to August

- Served as the Fellowship and Residency Coordinator for the Department of Pediatric Emergency Medicine and the Fellowship Coordinator for the Child Protection Team

- Performed clerical/administrative support duties for program directors, faculty, fellows, and residents.

- Managed fellow educational funds, created, tracked and submitted pay vouchers, monitored and maintained compliance with ACGME and CUGME requirements; collected and submitted pay vouchers for monthly moonlighting, on-boarded new fellows within the sub-specialty, as well as on-boarding of residents and fellows desiring to moonlight within the ED and Network of Care.

- Worked daily within MedHub and New Innovations.

- Arranged interviews, meetings and appointments, received, referred and answered phone, email, mail and faxes correspondence, and answered questions relating to rotations within the Emergency and Child Protection Team training programs.
