Introduction:
Initial work experience was in hospitality management and operations. Returned to school for communications; then worked in marketing, radio and community journalism. After years as a print and online editor, took on a restaurant turnaround, bc Restaurant in Armory Square, Syracuse (March to present). Turnaround projects have been a specialty throughout my career with recruiting the right staff and team building key ingredients.

Oversaw lively debate in each paper with readership on editorial pages. Updated website daily, manage Facebook/Twitter/ Instagram accounts.

New York Press Association: two second place for column and feature photo; second for reporting on the arts; two stringers awarded for column and photography; first place as columnist.
Syracuse Press Club: honorable mention for a feature obit on a Vietnam Vet, "Boyle the Legend." First place for Spot News reporting regarding a tragic boating accident in Skaneateles, second place for column, second place for a review on a Joni Mitchell tribute. first place for a feature - "Lady's Man," local tinsmith becomes Lady Liberty's tinsmith.
