Review the bank\'s current Loan Policy, loan procedures, loan grading systems, and Loan Review Program. For each loan selected in the sample, assess the credit quality, validate the credit risk rating, and ensure the necessary credit monitoring is being completed. For new loans, review loan documentation and credit facility safeguards, ensure loan was closed consistent with how it was approved. Maintain communication with bank management throughout the loan review process. Recommend internal controls related to the loan function and subsequent tracking and required reporting. Review the Allowance for Loan and Lease Losses (ALLL) established for impaired loans. Evaluate credit risk and analyze portfolio trends, industry exposures and underwriting criteria
