Master\\\'s Degree – Medieval History

King\\\'s College London | London, United Kingdom

September – September

My graduate study abroad transformed who I am, both intellectually and personally. Being at one of the Top Schools Internationally ranked, King\\\'s College London offered me an award winning academic culture studying under the finest minds in the Medieval Field. My supervisors were Prof. David Carpenter and Dr. Stephen Baxter. My major areas of emphasis were th Century England, and Foundations of Medieval English Royal Government. Within this field, I completed my MA Dissertation entitled \\\"The Medieval Mint and the Long Cross Coinage of Henry III.\\\" I am incredibly proud of the accelerated program I completed at KCL and of the intellectual challenges and motivation I received by their academic community.

In addition to tremendous mental growth studying at KCL allowed me, the fact that I completed the entire course abroad developed who I am as a person. To travel alone and live in a foreign country for one year challenged my internal strength, increased my self-motivation, and instilled in me a sense of personal confidence that cannot be tracked on a chart or compared to any other. This invaluable experience truly shaped not only my personal interests of travel, friendships, and life experiences, but also transformed my career interests and opportunities that might have otherwise been out of my reach.

Bachelor\\\'s Degree – Ancient and Medieval Europe, Modern Europe/Great Britain

California State University | Long Beach, CA

September – July

In years of study at CSU Long Beach, I was able to develop as an individual in an academic arena. Partially through my course work, I transferred from an Aerospace Engineering Degree to a History Degree, therefore prolonging the time of my studies at least one year. The transfer included changing from a BS to a BA, meaning the tremendous Science and Mathematics course work already completed held little standing in the Department of Humanities criteria for graduation. While a difficult transition, I felt it important to listen to my own ambition and desire, and continue my work in a field I am truly passionate about: Historical Research. This was obviously not a career move, but one that I am still positive was the correct decision as I remain, to this day, passionate about History.

While at CSULB I experienced quite a bit of mental growth, personal recognition, and extracurricular excitement. Among these was the semester in Spring I spent abroad studying at the University of London in London, United Kingdom. This experience awakened my internal love of travel that I still hold. ________________________________________
