Develop methods for automating administrative and program reports, considering the interrelationship of reports and multiple sets of the data. Based on functional capabilities of software, selects the best software type for reports, e.g., a database versus a spreadsheet. Determine the data categories to be established, identifies the sorting and calculating functions to be performed, and sets up the detailed procedures needed to enter and retrieve the data in the form needed for each report.

Works with headquarters and the regional office survey staff to provide technical support and assistance for all laptop automation activities in the regional office (RO) and ensure that proper software has been installed and ready for shipment to the field representatives (FR\'s). I am the first line of contact for all laptop hardware, software, and telecommunication problems pertaining to laptop computers. This includes receiving and tracking laptop computers assigned to FR\'s; loading program and survey software; shipment of laptops to FR\'s; establishing, resetting and deleting passwords; and performing troubleshooting duties by identifying and resolving problems with hardware and software in DOS-based environment.

Assist the RO computer specialist and/or program coordinator in developing solutions to complex or highly unusual problems; coordinates the replacement of computer equipment, as necessary; and prepares reports in appropriate software application.
