• Joined Ecometry, formerly Smith-Gardner & Associates in July , bringing a strong background in COBOL and Midrange computers. Ecometry formerly MACS is a complex ERP system for order fulfillment multi-channel-retail businesses. The typical Ecometry support analyst takes about six months to thoroughly learn the entire Ecometry Retail Enterprise(tm) suite. In contrast, I was ready in three months.
• This set the stage for my rapid advancement within the company. Within a year, I was promoted from System Analyst I, to system Analyst II, ADMR Support Technical Leader & Supervisor (the first time in the company's history that any employee had been assigned the combined role of Supervisor and Technical Leader). I was also given responsibility of second shift of support staff.
• Per my productivity, I was given additional responsibilities, one of which was to approve all software pieces/ or patch tapes sent to clients from the support area. I also participated in job fairs and helped recruit technical personnel for the company. I was later promoted to Systems Advisor with the responsibility for handling the company's top client’s special issues/problems.
• Other responsibilities and accomplishments:
o Provided technical help to a specialty team called ADMR, managing priorities and critical issues.
o The specialty team covered the areas of advertising, merchandising (including styles and assembly), purchasing, and all reports including COGNOS Quiz support.
