PUBLIC AGENCY CONSTRUCTION/PROJECT MANAGEMENT EXPERINCE

AMTRAK
Managed facility historic renovation project while maintaining passenger operations. Project Manager for $. Million Design of Seattle Coach yard Maintenance Facility. Acted as owner representative soliciting input from stakeholders. Managed and retro-commissioned ($million) operational railroad coach yard. Developed operating plan of maintenance, repair and inspection aspects of multimillion-dollar active commuter and long distance railroad maintenance facilities. Developed contracts and coordinated on-site activities of contractual maintenance and construction contractors/vendors.

CITY OF RENTON
Inspected methods and materials used by contractors to construct public improvements ensured compliance with plans and specifications and intended results. Designed, engineered and prepared construction specifications for capital projects, including street, sewer systems, dry utilities, storm water management, traffic control and parks. Consulted with contractors to facilitate construction and installation projects, resolve design changes, errors or deficiencies. Coordinated materials testing schedule with specification requirements. Assured accurate input and updates to City Permit database.

ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION

Provided annual safety inspection of bridges for the National Bridge Inspection System and state management System. Developed system to provide historic data for hydrographic surveys and scour analysis. Served on Scour Evaluation Team consisting of geotechnical, hydraulic, and structural engineers charged with identifying and analyzing scour potential bridges and drainage structures.

Performed construction management for numerous highway and bridge construction projects. Typical responsibilities included managing construction of projects, coordination review and acceptance of submittals, noncompliance resolution, payment requests, extra work bills, estimates and act as Department liaison for plan review, specifications and constructability. Recommended solutions to field design conflicts and property owner dispute and reconciliation.
