&#; PROJECT TOPIC-Assesment of DNA damage on peripheral blood leucocytes and Macrophages after Lipopolysaccharide exposure in In vivo and In vitro systems.
Summary-Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) is an prototypic endotoxin and well known inflammation causing agent.It is regularly used by researchers to explore the pathogenesis of infalmatory diseases.LPS acts via bindind to several receptors like CD-,TLR/M and could cause the release of several proinflamatory cytokines could led the cells towards death via apoptosis.
Leucocytes are considered as the phagocytic cells of body and first affected in any pathogenesis.In the present study we explore the LPS mediated effect on peripheral blood leucocytes and macrophages via COMET ASSAY.Both In vitro and In vivo studies were performed for investigation.We also explore the effect of compound -oxo-pyridine on LPS mediated DNA damage,by COMET ASSAY,SINGLE CELL GEL ELECTROPHORESIS AND DNA FRAGMENTATION.

Short term brain culture, detection of neuropeptides using bright field and flourescence microscopy, stereotaxic implantation of the cannula and intra-cerebroventricular administration in rats, application of behavioral models with specific reference to anxiety and stress.
