Summary:
· M.Eng degree in Petroleum Reservoir Engineering (University of Calgary), P.Eng. status
· Nine years industry experience in project and reservoir management including offshore development, conventional oil operations and deep gas basin exploration in WCSB
· Technical skills and experience in waterflood study, depletion and development planning, well test analysis, reserves estimation ,recovery and production forecasting
· Comfortable sharing problem solving, analytical, and communication skills within interdisciplinary teams

Skills & Experience:
– Staff Engineering Technologist, Asset team- Foothills/NW Plains Business Unit,
Husky Energy, Calgary

· Calculated voidage replacement of enhanced recovery schemes; provided quarterly water injection targets for the field ( nine-sport pattern and HZ injectors) as well as group production performance for the HZ injectors.
· Revised the waterflood strategy by adjust ing the waterflood injection rate and pattern design, thereby reducing the injection rate by m/d ,which greatly reduced water treatment costs, and controlled the water cut which had been increasing at % per year.
· Conducted pool depletion plan studies. Participated in the development of detailed reservoir engineering studies and reservoir simulation for drilling HZ injectors in the Valhalla Doe Creek I Pool ( BOE/D), the Valhalla Halfway C well conversion and waterflood reactivation project as well as the Valhalla Charlie Lake waterflood assessment.
· Conducted production optimization by providing recommendations of reservoir management strategies, make recommendations for revised waterflood strategy and Valhalla HZ injector project.(Total initial production rate was increased by BOE/D for the HZ injector group which matched project expectations )
* Reserached Core, SCAL and fluid analysis interpretation
* Forecast Ultimative recovery factor such as experienced formula methods stream tube approach, water drive curve method and other technique method
* Diagnose Waterflood field to determine field existing problem, wellbore channeling and region flux due to overinjection (Hall plot, conformance plot, streamline, Hydraulic efficiency etc.)

· Reserves evaluation and management: Prepared “Reserve Life Cashflow” runs, and documented changes for workover, project economic evaluation and year-end reserves. Assisted year-end Valhalla reserves review and injection/production forecasts for an annual budget, reserve life cash flow projections, project justification and potential acquisitions.
· Provided reservoir engineering support and reserves estimation for exploitation, completion and workover including Belloy formation, Charlie Lake, Doe Creek, Halfway C (Method: volumetric oil & gas, decline analysis, material balance oil & P/Z)
· Coordinated the well Annual Pressure Survey, BHP report and pas file submission Prepared programs, and interpreted results from the pressure surveys, and submit results to AEUB or OGC within the required deadlines.
· Analyzed exploration well testing in the Cardium, Dunvegan, Grande Cache,Cadomin, Boundary Lake, Charlie Lake, Halfway, and Banff Formations to study reservoir parameters, drive mechanism & reserves size.
· Familiar with OFM & DSS software, Monitored reservoir and production performance, including, material balance, injector optimization, conformance improvement, flood pattern surveillance, and performance forecasting.
· conducted production optimization study. + well review and well packer isolation failure review, stimulation injectors and provided workover , completion suggestions and reserves estimation.

– Development/Reservoir Management Engineer (Project/Asset Team)
China National Offshore Oil Company, China (Bohai Bay)

· Monitored well performance, adjusting injection water targets and predicted monthly production ration, year-end production ration.
· Wrote workover reports, testing, stimulation and well samples suggestion
· Analyzed pressure transient response to well tests to derive reservoir permeability mechanics
· Edited semi-annual and annual oilfield production reports and annual oilfield development technology strategies report
· Reserves evaluation and management: Updated oilfield reserves changes and the oilfield development database
· Developed depletion plan strategies. Designed a new oil field development model, program, and reserve evaluation
· Researched oil field perforation scenarios and put into operation program
Acidized to remove formation damage in Bohai Bay oil field. (Daily production rate increased bbl & was awarded the first prize by CNOOBC)
· Analyzed pressure transient responses to derive reservoir permeability mechanics
· Monitored field performance and recommended improved production methods
· Wrote workover reports, provided stimulation scenarios and well fluid sample analysis
Completed separated-zone water injection plan and oilfield injection water optimization for the oil field (Awarded the st prize of science technology by CNOOC)
· Monitored well production and injection for various groups of wells
· Selected the wells for separated zone injection and calculated oilfield voidage and material balance
· Simulated separated–zone injection water rate and forecast oilfield production
Designed a new oilfield development model and program as well as economic assessments
· Researched PVT and formation testing of assessment wells
· Determined production well open flow capacity
· Designed a new oilfield development model, well patterns, well density and well spacing
· Predicted oilfield depletion performance, sensitivity and feasibility and risk.
Researched heavy oil field development and production standards in Bohai Bay
· Studied the oil field performance and fluid properties of the heavy oil field
· Evaluated the increasing water cut rules and development technology strategies
· Compared the progress of well patterns, assessed well density, and determined the expected recovery factor for the heavy oil field
· Optimized heavy oil field production forecasting methods including the water drive characteristic curve formulae, Arps’ decline rule, wengshi model and other technical analysis techniques
