Education B.A., Professional Writing, 2007 York College of Pennsylvania, York, PA Magna Cum Laude, 3.85 GPA Professional Accomplishments • As an intern for the YMCA of York and York County, I wrote grants; I composed letters to be distributed to those inside the organization as well as to those outside the organization; and I produced various other materials in support of the YMCA's mission, including the Y’s 2006 Annual Report. • As a freelance writer for the York Dispatch, I covered municipal meetings. In cooperation with the YMCA’s Marketing Director, I also wrote journalistic pieces for the Y, including press releases and an Op Ed piece. • As a Professional Writing major at York College of Pennsylvania, I maintained a 3.85 GPA (a 3.95 in my major and a 4.0 in my Criminal Justice minor) and successfully completed courses that prepared me for work in the professional world.
