April 29, 2007 Re: Paraprofessional Position To Whom it May Concern, Enclosed please find my application for a teachers’ aide position within the Central Elementary School. I am excited for the opportunity to pursue a lifelong goal of working with students and making a difference in young lives! As you can see from my application, I have many years of experience interacting with young children and I am also currently pursuing my Associates Degree at Kaplan University with an emphasis in Educational Paraprofessional area. I will be getting my Degree in June of this year. I have already taken the following courses which I believe will be very useful to me in this position; • Introduction to Classroom Management • Child Development and Learning • Math Methods (currently taking). Algebra I am currently a Mentor with my university for new students just starting their degree. This program emphasis area will also include Reading and Writing Methods, Survey of Special Needs and Assisting ESL Learners. I am looking forward to putting my practical knowledge and skills to work. I am responsible, reliable and dedicated to helping every child achieve his/her full potential and I also am thrilled for the opportunity to work under a supervising teacher who can further help me develop my skills.
