The https://uwm.edu/off-campus-resources/ supports student success as both tenants and community members and serves as a liaison between UWM and the community. The Resource Center offers education and guidance to our constituents on the rental process and more while promoting positive living experiences in the neighborhoods near UWM through educational initiatives, referrals, and outreach.
Job Summary
The Off-Campus Resource Center Program Coordinator assists in managing the day-to-day functions of the Off-Campus Resource Center to provide assistance, education, resources, and referrals to UWM students seeking off-campus housing. They will be the main point of contact for both students and long-term residents, will provide educational opportunities and resources to UWM students, and implement communications and marketing to a variety of audiences including students, landlords, city officials, community agencies, neighborhood associations, law enforcement, and other stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelors degree
• 1 year of professional experience working in higher education or 2 years of internship or graduate assistantship in higher education
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience supervising students and/or full time employees
• Demonstrated ability to create and maintain positive relationships with constituents
• Experience with large scale event planning and facilitation
• Project management experience, utilizing strong communication skills throughout the process
• Previous experience providing programming to off campus or commuter students
