As an Administrative Assistant I, you will provide administrative support for the Western Region Conveyance and Distribution staff (located at Soto Street, Jensen, and La Verne). You will be responsible for providing a wide variety of administrative support to management and staff in a field office environment. Your responsibilities will include assisting with processing purchase requisitions for operations-related work, serve as a primary timekeeper, meeting support, maintaining files and supplies, mail distribution, compiling information and preparing reports, and responding to immediate and time-sensitive requests and assignments.

In addition to exceptional customer service, your ability to succeed in this role depends on your attention to detail, teamwork, willingness to learn, time management, organizational skills, administrative skills, and ability to communicate and interact with others effectively.


Schedule: 4/10, Monday through Thursday, 6:00am – 4:30pm


Hybrid: Metropolitan’s current practice in this position is a hybrid work schedule. This typically includes two days a week in person and the other days remote. This is subject to change dependent on organizational needs. In addition, a telework policy is scheduled for negotiations and once completed and implemented, will provide final direction on the hybrid schedule.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience: A high school diploma or high school equivalency certificate and four years of relevant experience; or Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and two years of relevant experience; or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.

Relevant Experience is defined as: administrative work experience


CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
License(s): Valid California Class C Driver’s License or equivalent (required at time of application) that allows you to drive during your employment.
