The Assistant Resource Specialist II, will work as part of the Water Efficiency Team and will be responsible for assisting with various water efficiency projects and programs for commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential consumers. In this position you will have the opportunity to assist with the collecting, organizing, and maintaining data on water savings, underserved community program penetration, landscape area measurement, and operational analysis. Other tasks may include reviewing and analyzing documents, drafting correspondence, reports, and presentations, helping with GIS-based spatial analyses, and programming or coding work for manipulating datasets.

Your working experience with resource conservation and efficiency, in addition to your ability to effectively research, organize, and communicate effectively both orally and in writing, are critical to your success in this position.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and two years of relevant experience; or two years in a MWD Assistant Resource Specialist I classification.

Relevant Experience is defined as: work experience with resource conservation and efficiency (water, electricity, natural gas, or other similar resources)

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

License(s): Valid California Class C Driver’s License or equivalent (required at time of application) that allows you to drive during your employment.
